2021 Trash Bash Trash Cleanup Event Was a Big Success
Lots of Volunteers Worked Together to Make Texas Cleaner

TGB Group members enjoyed participating in the trash cleanup of the Galveston Bay Watershed held March 25-28. We always love to get out in nature, and we love making things clean, so this event was perfect for us. Everybody had a great time.
This year, the event was virtual, meaning volunteers didn’t do cleanups at the regular areas but instead focused on areas near their homes, working in smaller groups. Folks did a lot of trash cleanup in their local neighborhoods, parks and storm drains.
About the trash cleanup event

In 2020, there was a lot more activity, with more than 4,000 volunteers working to clean up 16 different sites around the watershed.
Annual Trash Bash events are funded in part by grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency through the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
In addition, Trash Bash is approved for TCEQ Supplemental Environmental Project funds.
Doing our part
The way we see it, we get to live in this great country and the great State of Texas, and since we live near the Galveston Bay Watershed, it’s only right that we would give some of our time and help out in effort.
Next spring, we encourage everyone who has a little free time to get involved. Check out the Trash Bash website linked above, and get to know more about how trash cleanup benefits the Galveston Bay Watershed and our world in general.
