TGB Group providing engineering and related services
TGB Group is working on behalf of Love’s Travel Stop to provide engineering and construction services for a new city sanitary sewer line extension in Topeka, Kan.
Our team is designing the sewer extension for a new Love’s development that involves running the sewer under a private railroad. Because we are currently providing engineering services for the private railroad that the sewer extension will be crossing, we’ve been asked to handle the design and review of the sewer extension as it pertains to the railroad crossing.

This multi-faceted sanitary sewer line extension effort will include replacing two existing tracks at a City of Topeka public road with new railroad crossings to tie in to the existing city sewer system. All railroad crossing materials will meet specifications approved by the private railroad. The sanitary sewer extension will meet all City of Topeka specifications and will be designed in accord with construction documents.
TGB Group will provide construction observation services to verify the sewer constructed under the railroad will meet all specifications. In addition, we will ensure that the railroad crossings will be installed properly and according to design.
Our team will perform a variety of other services such as:
- submittal of reviews for sewer and railroad crossing materials
- attending pre-construction meetings with other professionals working on the project
- providing on-site observation for the railroad crossing panels
Design for the sanitary sewer line extension was completed in 2018, and construction is projected to start sometime in early 2019. As with every design project we undertake, our only goal is the complete satisfaction of our clients.
